Mina Mar Group proudly launches the ICE initiative to address on going nagging issues encumbering public small micro cap companies quoted on OTCBB and Pink Sheets. Such issues include short sales, overselling, naked short sales and stock bashers, which time and time again diminish the stock values of the effected public companies. Recently, laws prohibiting short selling have passed in Germany and Hong Kong. ICE intends to petition the US authorities to consider similar protection for small micro cap issuers.

The rapid devaluation of stock values particularly affects these small vulnerable companies, who need the most protection, and who have their hands full with day to day operational matters in today’s tough post-recession climate, and who are the most vulnerable to the resulting volatility. Unfortunately, today’s unregulated short sellers and stock bashers are protected by the “Communications Decency Act.” ICE aims to lobby the USA authorities to repeal the “Communications Decency Act” and lobby for regulations to implement rules that would mitigate short sales in the small cap arenas only. The vision is that ICE Initiative would work proactively with stock market regulators and lobby the government and authorities on behalf of small micro cap publicly traded businesses being effected.
